The reports I have heard is the back suspension battles with weight.I am sure I read it on here. What tank are you thinking of putting in Matt? Buy Japan wagon like Toyota or EVEN A HYUNDAI.

If I go with the Expert I'll go for at least a 1000Kg payload, if not more. Tank'll be no more than 550.

I got a price today, 15K, on the road.

Im still going into the Ford dealership in town. See if theyre offering any discounts. Peugeot's initial discount was quite generous, Ill see what else they can offer.

The other one in the mix is Transporter.

ive been told it must be the 2 litre. not the 1.6

I was quoted for the 1.6 but wouldn't be happy with that. I'm still considering the Transit custom. Might go 60/40 finance/cash.

Bought it new pre reg, had 100 miles on clock
9995 plus vat

It's pulls well, Its got a truck mount carpet machine in back, wich is 350kgs plus 185 litre water tank, this won't help with fuel economy!

I would buy another, but I'm a ford man, and now the transit custom is out, that would be  my preference, the first transit that looks really nice.

Money wise, the pug wins hands down.

Got a expert lwb. 2.0 on a 61 plate, dispatch lwb 2.0 on 12 plate, fiat scudo lwb 9 seater on 08 plate and dispatch 1.6 swb on 09 plate.

Probably going to change two more of the vans to these in the next 12 months

They drive very well, can barely tell you are carrying a lot of weight. I've got a 2007 Dispatch, new shape, 2.0 TDI 120, just over 100k miles and with a 650 grippamax system installed and some other stuff I carry about 850Kg. In this winter weather I've been getting about 27mpg. A lot of power available.

I think its the new pneumatic suspension that causes a bit of trouble?

It is the self-levelling suspension on the rear axle (not sure on the technical name) which is the problem, but this is an option, so just don't buy a van with it.
