we use both red and orange both are great to use esp with hot water - if using cold at this time of
year the red can be 'unpredictable'

we never disconnect just roll the pole hose on the reel this seems to help keep it 'honest'

once maybe twice during the week it eventually coils up but this is mainly due to the way i remove and return the pole to the van - it's continually turned clockwise so i disconnect twist anti clock wise anjd all is ok for several days ( takes 5 mins )

I have the clear stuff which goes very stiff in cold weather! Even in warm weather it kinks up. At the end of every job I reel it up in large circles then hang it on van door but you can bet by the time I'm half- way through my next job it'll kink up again which is so so frustrating!!

aqua-dapter pole hose is total rubbish.
Alex please make a good pole hose.

We have a new standard yellow pole hose which is a PVC & Rubber mix which we started selling this week on the website. This mix gives it great flexibility even in very cold weather. It is not suitable for hot water use though - we have another variant coming out in about 3 weeks' time for hot water use.

I am interested to see the feedback from our clients on this new hose.

any chance of a free meter or so,  so i can compare it with your old soft stuff , which i still have & luv  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Sure as it is you  :) - if you are happy to pay postage I can send you a couple of metres free. Drop me an email with your postal address.

Does this hose fit the pole valves and pushfit connectors without having to use a barb to prevent leak?

We have prioritised the workability of the hose rather than its push-fit ability.

It does fit well into John Guest 8mm connectors, such as we use on our quick-release goosenecks etc.
It does also fit the push-fit valves we sell to a reasonable level , but for full reliability and 'pulling around corners' ability we are recommending that stem to barb adapters are used.

The hose is fine and robust, some may be just too thick to use it and post childish post's instead.

It seems about 50% of people on this forum who have used it like it and the other 50% hate it!
Personally
how can you like it when your pole hose looks like a big spaghetti? i must lose an hour a day with this awful pole hose  >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:(

And me it is complete and utter garbage,i had a few poles taps off them that lasted about 5 minutes,so i wont be buying from them again.ive had backpacks and quite a few bits but have to say there hose is shocking.

I am glad to see there is more focus on pole hoses as needing a hose to work on hot and cold weather and different water temperatures. So far there has been not answer to this complex problem.

I think the aquadapter hose is probably ok on a short pole of say eighteen feet. The hose I had (red and orange) was unworkable on a thirty foot pole particularly with a valve on the hip. I found I couldn't extend the pole fully without a tangle around the base and couldn't coil it back up when I finally managed to do the job. It wouldn't lay flat over pathways either and so was a trip hazard. It does however fit all the push fit connectors perfectly.

Some hoses work well with cold water but fail with hot water - same as some work well in summer but not winter.

Windiewasher, you are such a twix with two fingers. Why not say Gardiner pole hose is rubbish. Aqua...make a new hose that is good. See where I am coming from mate? I doubt it though.

To date, you will not get a perfect hose, but like your business, a simple hose need's to be managed to work as you wish it to. You don't seem to be managing your's too well.

Hi Ben,

Sorry to read your comments, as Customer Service is very important to us.

You emailed me because you couldn't get on with the hose, and you wondered if it was from a faulty batch.

I replied to explain that the hose you were supplied with was from the same batch as that which others on here had "highly recommended".  I also mentioned how others have started off disliking the hose but eventually found that by changing their hose management technique slightly they like it.  Unfortunately it seems this hasn't been the case for you.

Of course I wish that everyone liked our hose.  Most do, some hate it.  On this thread I've counted 6 who like it 3 who don't.  Outside the forums I've found it's 5-10% who really don't like it.  As other manufacturers have also found, it seems almost impossible to produce a hose that everyone likes, but we all keep trying, which is why we now have the yellow Mike referred to!

Most customers are using the hose with an Aqua-dapter.  We only sell it separately as demand has grown for it.  We have some who like the orange and dislike the red, and vice versa.  There are customers who are using it on 45ft poles, so the length doesn't seem to be the issue.

windiewasher, did you contact us about a problem with taps?  If we don't hear about issues we don't have chance to respond to them.

Paul

I'm sorry you don't like it.  As the majority do, it's hard to understand what's making the difference for those of you who really don't like it, but we'll keep trying.

I just wanted to let you know if you have something that fails prematurely feel free to contact us and we'll see if we can help you out.

We do care, that's why we try to understand why you or anyone else is has an issue with the hose.  It's by listening and learning that we can then produce even better products.

The other customers' hose doesn't look like a big spaghetti when they use it.  Trying to work out why it's different for the small number who have the issue is the tricky part.

Our red hose was produced after listening to the feedback on the orange, and the yellow is another alternative.

If we can produce a hose that everyone likes, that of course would be great.

Paul
