I have one in my van but can't remember the wattage. It raises the temperature by about 15 degrees in my van so it works very well. I also have one in my little DI store and again it works a treat.

Best purchase for a while.

We've got a 2x 4ft of these in van. Never frozen, reels, twin di's, pump, tank etc always good to go in the morning. You can feel the warmth in the van when you open door in the morning, van is not insulated either. They work, they are cheap to run.

We use these types of heater in our trailers and vans overnight. Very good and will stop it freezing

For one from either screw fix or tool station can't remember but works well
The size I have doesn't make the van warm but it definately stops it freezing
Thanks,

I was given one last year so this is the first winter in use. No freezing but on  very cold nights I do blow all water from pump, heater and hose reel with compressor;-)

I have similar. Works only if close to the area you don't want to freeze. Useless if four feet away as the heat doesn't circulate. Keeps my pump and fogwash ice free but my reel and hoses will freeze at the back of the van on a really cold night.

I have 2 in my van

A 2ft one and a 3ft one. Van never froze up this winter

Plus my ro is set up in my shed with a 1ft one that never froze up either.

I run tests on them with the power they use.

In a 24 hour period with it on non stop 1ft heater uses 0.5kw
2ft heater uses 1kw in 24hours

so it is a lot less than 1p an hour!!!!

One of my customers has told me several times that all I need to have in the van is a 100 watt light bulb.

So have these got to be plugged in to a mains socket?

Or can you hook them up to leisure battery?
