If anyone can help with this one please lads...

I've owned a 300 Gpd Ro new from Pure Freedom last August. I also have a PF Booster pump installed after pre filters. Pre filters were changed around 2 months ago.

Up until the last few weeks I had been producing almost 500 litres (every day) over about 12 hours but since then it's been reducing down to around 300 - 400. Ive checked the pre filters and all are fine. I just don't know why the drop in production and whether the membrane is ok?

Could the ro be in flush? Is the booster pump providing the same pressure?

No not in flush and booster pump increasing pressure. Not sure if its the cold temp as we did have a couple of mild days a couple of weeks ago here and it didn't make much difference.

over time you will find that membranes will slow up on water production anyway, a drop in temp will also drop productivity

Is there a way that filters can be checked ?  As a rough guide youve produced around 26000 ltrs of water over the 2 month period include the waste and thats around 50000 ltrs of water thats gone through the filters , on most filter labels it will give you a guide line as to how much water to use for .
The cold weather allso slows down the production rate .

Ok cheers for all the advice, I'll check the next lot of filter labels to quantify the life expectancy. I think I'm going to invest in a bigger RO for my needs tbh, I'm not sure this RO will last long churning out 500L per day 6 days a week.

Why not up grade your membranes to a 150 gal from Daqua.

Flush for 2 days. Trust me im an expert in reverse osmosis.

Cold temp has a bearing on the filter mesh. Ie. Slow through the sponge as it closes on very cold water.

A very good tip coming up..if u can connecto a warm tap feed and flush for 2 days. It will be like new. I guarantee it..
