Cladding Cleaning

What method do you think is best for cleaning cladding on a factory
Its steel cladding, that is pretty green.
Your options are
1. Pressure Wash Cold,
2. Pressure Wash Hot,
3. WFP Cold
4. WFP Hot.
Things to take into consideration.
Which is quickest,
Which will produce the best results
Which will give the best ROI, ie hire hot machine etc etc. therefore quote will be more competitive.
Regards
Alex

Hard to say without pictures
We recently did one with steam and it was very quick and we had amazing results.
Although we did one - cleaner side with WFP - Cold.
Take a look at our facebook pages - later today i will put up some great pics

In my experience-teams of 2. One putting diluted chemical on with a brush and a good scrub one behind with WFP pure to rinse the chemical away.
I'd imagine it'd take some doing with just water...

To be honest, I hate chemicals, not only for the PPE you need to wear, but also the COSHH. But they do have their place
Thanks Darran I will take a look, were you using a boom? How much faster than WFP do you think it is, could I do it twice as fast?
Does anyone know if you can use normal pressure hose. I have 30m of push fir high pressure hose already and I need the lenght

No, we did it from the floor.
Tbh I couldn't say how much faster it is with any level of certainty but I'd guess at least twice as fast.
The PPE was minimal as ip the chemical just hit the floor and the COSHH was simple.
A company here tell you all you need to know and do before using their kit-I'm sure a supplier your way would do likewise...
No, you can't run high pressure through normal hose.
It's not expensive though.

My dilemma is, to use my hot wfp setup and maybe take two days.
Or spend £150 hire a hot pressure washer, and do it in a day.
Hmmmmm
Thing is I am so busy at the moment, I dont have the time to spare, I would also like the job, so dont want to loose it for the sake of £150

This elevation here was done without brushes and without pressure washing close up. We fed 'hypo' (sodium hypochlorite) through the venturi chem feed on the pressure washer and the bleach in conjunction with a surfactant just ran down the cladding and self cleaned it taking the algae down. Then a quick rinse following the residue down.

We did a cladding clean yesterday with HOT WFP and it came up a treat, when the gas ran out it became alot harder.
Blast away I take it you were using lances? Do you recon the Hypo kills the algae aswell, Any issue with safety on site using bleach, i.e run off?
Nice work by the way fellas
