How do I go about picking up my gym...
« on: March 25, 2013, 02:36:39 pm »
I have moved gyms this year, and joined banatynes in colchester, and thought 'would be great to get the contract here...'

I'm obviously sure they have a window cleaning company already, but how would I go about asking and giving a quote? I haven't got any commercial cleans so it's all a bit new to me...

I'm assuming they have a large company clean it, but having herd the gym are struggling for money, thought I could offer a better deal? I have never undercut anyone in the past, and I certainly wouldn't with houses, but business is business...

You could always try asking them if they would like you to give them a quote.

Think you got it wrong mate. The idea is that you pick up weights in the gym. If you try picking up the gym you are likely to just get frustrated and give up.

Don't discount it though.
What's membership at Bannatynes £80 odd a month?
My gym paid for their window cleaning by offering free membership in return.
No paperwork either way.

Won't know until you ask.

Even if its a £100 job you won't be far off when you take the tax off the money you'd earn then spend there anyway...

No i pay only 32 for off peak, pretty cheap!

I reckon the gym would be atleast £70-90 a month to clean, depending on weather they want insides done as well,

I will ask though...

Or...
I just picked up some petrol stations with Costa Express stations inside.
Negotiated with the owner and clinched it by agreeing to their slightly lower price but having free Costa's whenever I went in.
I like my coffee so will save me quite a bit!

How about free cleans and a free coffee, juice, powershake, class or whatever added in...

;) LMFAO so funny had window cleaners calling all blody night telling me about this post. but a word of advice? all of my commercial work i have aquired over the past ten years plus,  is down to recommendation from domestic customers. And secondley dont tell every window cleaner in the country what you would quote for a job. Regards One eyed window cleaner  ;)
