The barbs are 1/4", so just over 6mm.

They fit 6mm ID hose no problem and we have a number of customers who successfully use them with 8mm ID hose and report they can get a good seal with an o clip.

Paul is right I use these on 6mm and 8mm with the 0 clips with out any problems what so ever. I wish I could get them in
1/2inch.
