Thinking about switching to water fed pole.
« on: March 15, 2013, 07:06:50 pm »
Hi guys,

We've been running our business using the traditional method since day one but we're now considering changing over to using the water fed pole method.

Before we do though, I thought that there'd be no better place to ask people of their opinions on this method over the traditional ladder and squeegee method than CIU.

Thanks in advance,

Dean.

Don't bother you'll end up spending thousands ( poss 100s thous) each year on replacement kit, not to mention the burns from the water  :'( :'(  :'( stress from call backs due to shoddy, spotty work, stick with sponge mate

No booze Gav, I'm on a stag do tomorrow in Liverpool 10.34 train from stoke so I've got to be at my best.

This is serious,

What are the benefits of water fed pole of the traditional methods and will my lads who are used to ladders be able to make the switch? I can imagine that the pole isn't just a magic wand but will they have to just give the window a quick rub or is it more of an ongoing effort?

I've picked up from what people have said on here about resin and these ORs, is this an expensive do? We currently spend well over 1k a year on ladders, getting our ladders checked, replacing ladder feet and hiring specialist ladders for our bigger jobs.

Thanks in advance again,

Dean.
