Upholstery, Upholstery more Upholstery
« on: March 12, 2013, 09:18:54 am »
Whats going? during my 30 years of cc cleaning, all my quotations & work since the new year have been 90% upholstery.
Is there any reasoning behind this as to why no one is wanting carpet cleaning?
Is it the same with you?

I think because things are tightening up now with money, they are going down the line of getting them cleaned instead of replacement.

Or
The word is out your the best upholstery cleaner in the country
Or
Your only charging a tenner a suite

                                                      ;D

Paul
if its about cleaning not replacing it would be the same for carpets surely.
I am probably the most expensive when it comes to upholstery as I charge £90 for 3 seat sofa and £120 if base & back cushions are removable.
Would be nice to think the word was out I could save a fortune advertising

It could be something to do with the groupon deals as you dont see many offering upholstery cleaning, but then you see companies offering to clean a whole 3 piece suite for £60, but I'm still getting the calls.

Mainly upholstery for me too... high end stuff!

I'm glad I've had some decent training because I'd have had an insurance claim against me by now if I hadn't....

Little bit off topic, but not.....

Whats the favourite upholstery tool for you guys?

Won a drymaster on ebay for a bloomin good price, then had an email to say it had been stolen from his lockup so back to square one. Still drawn towards the CFR but do like the look of the Sapphire. ???

CFR cleans deeper than a Sapphire obviously IMO but I've owned both as well as Dry Masters 1 and 2.

you cant go much wrong with a cfr. They're also built to out live the operator and several generations of his family too.
