Dilemma
« on: March 11, 2013, 09:59:08 pm »
Had a guy wander over 6 months ago for a price for his front only accross the road. I quoted £8.00 monthly and said I could have it done within the week. Great he said. Job was done that week.

That weekend we got an email from this guy stating he never asked us to clean the windows, just wanted a price. He also stated he would pay the £8.00 this time, which he never did. Numerous emails were sent, all ignored so I dropped it for the sake of £8.00.

Jump on 6 months and I have been leafletting again, the type you put in the window. Guess who has one in the window. How do I deal with this? He's either a total chancer or has mental health issues.

Put a note through and say when you get £8 for last clean you will think about cleaning them again!
Takings off all first cleans till march 7th 2014
October  total=  cleaned  extra per month
November = cleaned extra per month
Total £  so far.

I had a case recently with an ex-customer who owes me a fair chunk, but I cannot, and probably will never, get my money from her. She treats workers like her personal slave, and I sacked her off when I had had enough (not soon enough as I really try to see the good in people but she had gone too far with her mickey taking).

She saw me cleaning a few doors up, and called out to me to come over. I waved and called back 'OK'. When I finished the house I was doing, I loaded up and drove off.

Felt great!

I am back there this week. Looking forward to it.

£16 cash up front

Then if he pays you (highly unlikely)
Just wet the windows and be gone  ;)
keep it simple

I would go along with him then say first clean is always cash up front. Then if he paid I would not clean them.if not I would spray white wash on the windows and when he calls say I never cleaned them.

Why not send a mate round to quote him. Then don't clean them but get your mate to call round in the dark to collect. maybe he is too stupid to realize they were not cleaned and you get your money.
Either way it would be a laugh

Because she would come out with yet another excuse and I am not going to waste my breath on asking her.
