Ok ask yourselves these 2 questions.
1. How much did you earn last year on stain removal.
2. How much did you earn last year just cleaning carpets.

The thing is that if you look at the before and after pictures, the stain started by the skirting and then moved about 8 inches out.
I would have continued spraying it until the stain carried on moving right out the door.

a whole bottle of thin coke, found when moved a teenagers bed! She reckons must have been there for a couple of weeks.
Flushed, used M power, used the Oreck, dwell for 10 mins, and Roberts your aunties husband.

Are you sure it was coke Mark? Coke comes out real easy, even just a flush should do it. You wouldn't need to reduce coke!
IMO the customer had no idea what it was but told you it was coke. I'm 99% sure thats not coke!

Well now you mention, she said she thought it could have been coke, did think it looked very dark though.didn't question her, just got on with it,was not that impressed with the result, but then didn't add heat either

its a strange stain, almost looks likes rusty water. Like a radiator spill.
Dye-Gone is good product (a tad expensive though) but some stains will just not come out completely. Sometimes a second application helps, or/and a longer dewell time. And as you said, heat also aids the reaction time.

The bit near the skirting came out fairly easy, but the other bad one wouldn't budge.

Had old Coke stain on wool a few years ago and it was worst I've dealt with. Got way worse before it got better, and when I say better, about as good as the pictures in first post.
I would agree this certainly looks like Coke, where the one in the picture further down not so much, doesn't look dark and menacing enough
Coke therefore doesn't always come out entirely, especially from wool.

Yes like I said in the first post, she had tried a few different products on it before she called me.I explained to her in detail when she booked it in and also said due to this it was probably set.
When I got there I felt the stain and asked why was it wet,she said oh, I had another go with Vanish earlier !!!!
AHHHH !!!!!
Dye gone was the last resort
