Bloody February
« on: February 28, 2013, 08:37:35 pm »

All though the weather has been fantastic
This week is any one else a little miffed that we
3 day short of last month?
I've been trying to squeeze the extra 3 days in
Over the week but its just not happening!
Working all weekend and still won't catch up
But at least it ain't snowing..

How have you all dealt with the short fall in days ?

It may just be the way I organise my work to
A monthly date..
keep it simple

We have a 500 + long list of customers, and just simply work our way through the list... then start at the top once all cleaned.

Sometimes were 6 weekly, other times were 8 weekly, then stone the crows and were 7.25 weekly  ;D

We dont try to cram work in here there and everywhere, just bosh our way through the list

 ;)

Thats all you can do. I never have 'got' these boys that work to a strict schedule. Why? What are the benefits? You can only do so much work however you manage the schedule.

You're making a rod for your own back it seems.

If I want to take the day off... then I will.

If I want to start the day by taking me and the employee to a cafe for a phat fry-up... then i will.

If I want to work like a lunitic and not go home till weve done £7000... then i will.

These are the reasons why I started my own company.

Also - the lad I employ is a mate of mine so we are quite relaxed anyway. People say this doesnt work but it does for me, and I wouldnt have it any other way.

I lost a week in Jan due to the snow, so although Feb is short, I was £900.00 up on Jan.
March is also looking ok
