SLX 22 arrived!took me by surprise!!
« on: February 27, 2013, 08:46:01 pm »
arrived today while i was at work. ;D ;D ;D ;D

normally i get an email from gardiners but hey ho im not bothered!!

first impressions?a fair bit lighter than my 25ft SLX and im liking the quick release resi neck.im gonna try it out tomorrow with resi neck and SL standard medium mixed brush and see how i go!

its going to be a very handy pole methinks as shorter closed length for regular domestics.

i got a 55 degree carbon gooseneck with it that ive screwed on an extreme medium mixed brush.should come in handy for solar panel cleaning on my 40ft supermax.

only thing left to do is convert the top of my 25ft SLX to a quick release system then all 3 poles will be interchangeable with 4 carbon goosenecks(two 45 degree and two 55 degree)with extreme medium standard,2 extreme medium mixed brushes and a radius medium sill brush respectively!

also got the standard SL medium mixed and soft sill brush that are ready to screw on to my resi neck!

happy days! ;D ;D ;D ;D

oh and hammered through my workload today again so only one more day left then 6 days off before next months onslaught of work!!! :D :D :D :D

best wishes to you all

Got mine today as well.....never used a gooseneck so going to try it out tomorrow....feels really light compared to my reach it mini.....

Gooseneck or resineck for domestics. Not sure I thing the resi neck will go on after one house but we'll give it a go

This is getting out of hand. You've spend so much money on different poles, yet you only need one? A 25ft Xtreme, with extension sections.  ???

on topic i used the 22 slx on a first clean today with resi neck and SL standard medium mixed and it was fantastic!ill defo be using this brush on dirty first cleans!

then i changed to a carbon gooseneck 55 degree with extreme medium mixed for the rest of the day on run of the mill maintenance domestics.wow!its so light and great for cleaning sills as well!the closed length is really good for connies in tight spaces!

im a very happy bunny!! :D :D :D :D

I wonder if Daz's Mrs is a member of an interior design forum and refers to Daz in every post as "my drop dead gorgeous boyfriend who is a window cleaner and has his own business"?  ;D ;D

Can't for the life of me work out why anyone would buy a 22 foot when the have a 25 foot - just take a section off?

tim each to their own mate.

im very happy with my 3 pole combo(22 SLX/25 SLX/40 SUPERMAX)

ill be using the 2 SLX s the most on my work with the supermax on a few jobs here and there.

about £1200 ive spent on these 3 poles but they will last years as i wont be just wearing one pole down and no messing about adding and taking off sections wasting time.

i just grab the right pole for the job out of my van and go!! ;) ;D ;D ;D

It's not just £1200 you've spend over the years though? You've spent thousands or something along those lines. I'm not having a go at you, but it's useless having 3 poles. It costs more money and you can only use one at a time anyway. Xtreme extension sections go on in seconds. More or less in the same amount of time it takes to put a new brush on a pole you can change a section? To each their own yes, but that doesn't mean it's the most efficient way of doing things.

yeh but what about the pole hose tim?is that not a pain!! ;D ;D ;D

these 3 poles are certainly not "useless".they will get used and abused time after time after time! ;D ;D ;D ;D

we ve all spent money on stuff we shouldnt of in hindsight but these 3 poles are defo not a waste of money in my book.

best wishes
