I think most heaters on the market have a 20min safety cut off.
If it turns off after only a few minutes, it probably has a CO2 sensor in there which stops the heater. This is because they are in essence showers. Not enough oxygen in room when taking a shower will relax you even more, but not in a good way.
I would suggest making sure the exhaust gasses leave the fan unrestricted, ie. straight up.
Even on my hotwash with the pipe going straight up the heater would stop, so I bypassed the safety mechanism. But for obvious reasons I'm not going to go into detail on that.
