Is this a problem anyone has found.I fitted my new Cointra gas boiler and itw would come on and run for a few minutes and the flame would cut out. Is this a common problem anyone has found I have the solution but just thought I would ask.

I think most heaters on the market have a 20min safety cut off.

If it turns off after only a few minutes, it probably has a CO2 sensor in there which stops the heater. This is because they are in essence showers. Not enough oxygen in room when taking a shower will relax you even more, but not in a good way.

I would suggest making sure the exhaust gasses leave the fan unrestricted, ie. straight up.

Even on my hotwash with the pipe going straight up the heater would stop, so I bypassed the safety mechanism. But for obvious reasons I'm not going to go into detail on that.

could be a number of things, could be wind blowing it out, drop in flow that cuts it out, not enough pressure,

I have solved the problem its the cut out probe that controls the heat. I wanted to know if anyone also had this problem.

Just something else to look out for with LPG boilers is that they only work with the water in a pressure range.  So if your pump is pumping at too high a pressure (not flow rate) then they wont always fire up.  Generally speaking there's little reason to have the water at 100psi, keeping a much lower pressure so that the pump shuts off soon after the hose is closed will make these boilers work better.
