Aquadapter orange hose
« on: February 20, 2013, 06:25:18 pm »
Been using this hose for a week now but just can't get on with it! It's just as bad as gardiner hose if not worse, anyone else find this? What hose do people recommend I know it's been posted before but didn't pay much attention as I was relying on aquadapter hose.

Are you referring to the pole hose or the hose on reel?

Thanks for the link andy, how do you find working with it? Do you know if that's 5mm inside or outside diameter?

It's 5mm inside diameter, 8mm outside I believe. Fits standard pushfit taps etc.
To be honest i've yet to find a pole hose that is perfect all year round. They all seem to stiffen up in the colder temperatures. I suppose it wouldn't be so noticeable if using a hot system.
Anyway out of the few i've tried the Sureclean is the best i've used so far............but still not perfect!

I've used aqua adapter hose for coming up 2 years now as I've found it the best hose that deals with hot water.  I'm surprised if anyone is finding that it kinks as in my experience it has a tendency to try and remain straight even when coiling it back up.  When looping the hose back up it's best to do big loops rather than small as smaller loops can give the hose a memory and there for make it kink, also once looped up it sounds obvious but you need to make sure that the hose tail end doesn't fall back through the loops at all as that will create knots.  All straight forward stuff but if done correctly you'll never have a tangle.

Simon.

i dont think its the hose as lots of us use aqua-daptor pole hose and find it very tough and durable and easy to work with.

I use the clear hose off eBay and can't fault it, still very durable in cold weather if I choose not to turn the heater on.
