you want to close the waste tap then open it 1/4-1/2 a turn not open it then close it 1/2 a turn. Basically you adjust the waste to get the optimum lowest output tds from your ro.
The kit in the van was advertised as all 'brand new' so I hope they don't need changing. I really can't understand why I couldn't do this earlier but thank you so much for all your help, you lot are amazing One thing: when it's all connected and in the process of filtering (say adjusted at half a turn off fully open): if I adjust the stop cock/waste valve thingy just half a turn, the waste water almost stops. But when I readjust it (turning it back half a turn to starting position) there's still no waste water... bizarre?
