Sebo duo
« on: February 03, 2013, 11:08:26 pm »
Hello, I've used a sebo duo for about 8 years but after a very productive life one of the motors has given up the ghost. They are a great machine and work  wonders at pushing the prespray deep into the carpet. I'm looking for a replacement and wonder if anyone can tell me the best place to source this replacement
Cheers

hi Keith,
There is only one motor in the duo, are you sure? might be just a snapped belt?

Thanks John i assumed there was two motors.
would you know who stocks replacement belts if that proves the problem.
I am still interested in purchasing another sebo even if i can repair my existing machine.

I had a look at the cleanfix floormac, it sounds interesting.  Having used the duo over such a long period and being really satisfied with the results you can appreciate before your recommendation i hadn't considered an alternative.  Do you honestly feel that the floormac is a better buy tthan the duo and if so why?

Thank you

You had a sebo duo for 8 years??

Mine lasted about 8 months before the belt snapped.

I now have a Floormac which I find a lot better and more versatile.

Once you have flattened the orange brushes You can use on all carpets IMO.

I've had belts from solutions and Hydramaster in the past, check the bearings in the rollers also though in case they have collapsed and caused the belt to snap, I get my bearings from a local bearing supplier, take the old ones with you so they can make a match.

        All the best
