Personally i think there comes a point where you have to switch from a porty to a proper TM.
I would prefer to have a porty which if needed, could be wheeled off the van and taken to the area which needed cleaning instead of long hose and power cord runs.
An engine provides all the power to run the pump, blower and of course heat for the HX...
With this and any other ETM you have to add some kind of HX, and if mounted in the van will require fuel the same as a regular TM.

I really like Mytee products but im doubtful this will be very popular when lets face it machines like the  Jag, Storm and Enforcer are a fraction of the price and will essentially do the same job and allow the operator the flexibility of removing from the truck.

Just my opinion  ;)

You could buy jags/storms/evolutions etc and mount them together to create the same which would work out cheaper ok you'd have to work out the electrics but it is possible.

There is definitely a strong argument the better twinvac portables  ...
But the ETM with a heat source and water feed  , chemical feed , would be  more convenient in many job situations as well as raising the performance bar closer to a petrol blower .  Most jobs in very large houses for example you can park close to door window , plug in and run hose all around the house with high performance .

A twin 6.6 might be adequate with 280cfm and 9HG
but this beast has 325cfm and 16 Hg        :)

Hi Guys

I believe it is illegal to run electric cables across a public walkway, which would be a problem.

Cheers

You may be right Doug but I used to do it for years with my dependable bane, most reliable machine I ever had, it'll be interesting what this kind of machine will bring up as there is also the savage etm although I think that has priced itself out of the market although it does come with etm burner and I think a genny and may be hoses and wand so i may be not comparing like for like.

Offering different scenario which has been mention ie steambrite, wonder if anyone does a 4 vac extractor with no pump? Maybe on one cord with no heat and just auto pump out?

You could have some real suction at the front door and the heated pressure washer from the van, I guess even 3 x 6.6 would be great also.

To me performance is not everything, you have to weigh up many pros and cons to come to a conclusion which has to be beneficial.
I have tried using an ETM system, yes it works however its sometimes easier and more practical to remove the machine from the van and wheel it closer to the house... this way you are not losing performance by adding hoses and have less far to travel to monitor the machine.
I see the Mytee has a de foamer injection which in my eyes is essential and a feature which should be added to all large extractors whether they are truck mounted or not... Foam can be a real problem especially if Mrs Smith has gone crazy with that can of 1001!

Take a Jag/storm with 100' of hose and the Mytee with lets say 100', what would be the performance difference between the two machines? even if the Mytee left the carpet slightly drier, could you justify the extra expense for 80 CFM's

The main benefit to me of a tm is ease and speed of set up not sure if this is going to do this.

Perhaps John Martin may be able to tell me what the draw would be off 3 x 6.6 motors or should I say if they could all be run from one lead?

I'm guessing may be as the scorpion etc used to have vacs on one lead and pump on another but I stand to be corrected.

The CFM is not the real difference , its the waterlift , you cant get high lift with a twin parallel machine .

The savage was also a twinvac , high cfm low lift ...  also there was quite a bit of bs blurb on the site , running 400ft hose turned out to be bringing a booster close to the wand and the savage twinflow system was just two runs of two inch to the door .  But i do like the custom homebuilt etms ...  nordic1  for eg

Shaun the 6.6 is rated about 7.5 amps ...  decreasing a bit under load
probably not ideal to run three on one cord ... but  as long as your cord is thick you probably could with out much happening .
But three in parallel still wont give high lift .

I guess 3 of the super vacs from mytee would be the way to go providing you could still use one lead.

Hey John

What is your views on the Enforcer? the water lift performance is impressive

Shaun the Mytee electro vacs are not superior to the 6.6 , they just use the same internal fan design to give increased efficiency .
Amp draw is about the same for each of them ...

I wouldnt like to comment on the Enforcer without trying it , but i like the design .
At the moment ashbys seem to have a philosophy of using one cord for vacuum/pump ... and having 3kw heat on cord two .  The compromise is they have to run one high airwatt motor with a low airwatt motor boosting it in series so as not to have too much on the one cord .

Yep same, it's in the new price list at £2995 +vat

I'm intrigued by "slide-in version of its advanced Heat 'n' Run in-line stainless steel heat exchanger."
Unless they mean "hanging off the back" like they do now.  ;D

With a burner! what next? ;D

I spoke to Martin at Woodbridge today it does sound a really great machine, I've also bought a Bentley wand but it came with the wrong nozzles so he's sending me some more out, it's a lovely wand I'll give the low down on it after a couple of weeks.
