Gardiners Thermobore hose
« on: January 31, 2013, 04:02:05 pm »
Alex I bought this hose I think August and put it away for winter to use with my fog wash. I also bought a the mini bore 8 mm in September so I could use this for the warmer months and Thermobore for the winter months. I started using the thermo hose November and yesterday it blew like a cigar about 2 inches along the hose. My water is never boiling hot as I have tricoflex hose coming from the shower which would blow up there if to hot. I didn't worry about it but today I was working away and it just blew a hole it's about 60 ft of hose from the hose reel. I've only used it 8 weeks there must be a fault in it. I would have emailed but havnt got your email addy

Cheers Richard.
If you look on your records I was RS Cleaning Services am now R&S Cleaning Services Ltd

Sounds like it is faulty. If it had just blown at the the beginning it may have been because two hose clamps had not been used to fix it to the barb fitting (as recommended on our site) however as it has blown 60ft in it must be a faulty roll.

Slight problem we would have in replacing this for you is that we are out of stock! We do have one 200m roll in stock but this is all. If you give the office a call (01726 66400) we can either send one out to you as soon as it comes back into stock in March or we can credit your account.

If you wanted to try and repair it with an inline hose mender then you could try that to keep you going and see if it was only faulty in one place.

Thanks for the photo - definitely a flaw in the hose.

We will sort it for you, however as it was bought by you in February 2012 I will not be able to throw it back at the supplier  :(
