Evening all,

One area where a truckmount 'humps ass' over a porty is its large waste tank, which does'nt need to be emptied as often.

Is any one aware of any kind of after-market pump out system available for a portable?

Only one i can think off is this external APO .
Id say the  lid would fit any Mytees or the Alltec Elite , Express and airflex mini .
Woodbridge sell it for 400 .

If you have a different machine you would have to adapt the lid valve onto your wastetank or lid somehow ..

You could DIY an internal APO  , with suitable high flow pump  , check valve , filter
not too easy though .

Alternatively a gravity based auto empty as in the Airflex storm should be a simple aftermarket fit but perhaps u need the remote power off to make the best use of that .

Me , two three stages ...
Performance wise  , no matter how you add it up the two three stages will be way more powerful  .

Assuming its the 1400w ametek three stage  , that would 450 airwatts x 2   vs  645 airwatts for the 6.6 .



A  single 6.6  has 139cfm  ( If you've read its more elsewhere you should take that with a grain of salt )

Two 5.7s in parallel will have around 200cfm

Waterlift is around the same for both , or a bit more for the three stage .

Machine must perform well over a 50' length of 1.5" hose, ideas?

Im sure you could work with both  ....   but i would take the Express  ...  itwill still have the same amount of airwatts vs a single 6.6 in either series or parallel so it will still be more powerful  , plus you have the convenience of built in heat  .

Should be similar internally to steembrites version  here ... although spec is different .

I think i would go for the bigger tank version as a main machine ( Alltec elite )... unless u need a lightweight machine in which case its ideal .

Not really comparing the two machines, but just the performance of two motors versus the one... can one 6.6 offer similar performance to the other two.. etc... power consumption being loads more having two of the 5.7's...
I have heard some very encouraging reports about the cub...

Back to the original question - we ran a porty with apo before we got the TM. It was essentially a submersible pump with a float switch, and it worked very well.

Autofill with metered chemical didn't, because the water pressure wasn't sufficient to suck the chem through.

No idea - it was fixed & supplied by Alltec, but it looked like an ordinary 1" submersible, and it wasn't fixed down, just sat on the bottom, exited through a fitting through the glass fibre on the front with a screw-on coupling.
