Expectations for this year
« on: January 25, 2013, 09:27:36 am »
I will start.

Yes by a lot for following reasons

Work a lot more organised and can really rip thru it when van is working and its not snowing or minus 2  ;)

Pushing other services power washing conny cleaning etc

Finally got website after 3 years - appreciate wont bring loads in but even 1 extra job a month will do

Finally pricing correctly (well 99% of time) upping poor paying jobs by March or dropping em if they dont like it

Commercial work starting to come in slowly.

i got over 100 enquiries last year from mine ian some of them spam i must admit but just had a quick count so well worth having one

i expect to double in size this year if i can just have one year with no issues affecting me got 3 vans to grow in to got lots of rounds to build on getting rid of dross and only cleaning nice houses from now on so skanky canvasser signing up any old tramp

if i can take on 80 new jobs a month il be happy, the more customers we get the more adhoc work we get coz we ring up and ask customers if they want quotes etc

just got to get the work more compact, get it all running more efficient, try and fit bigger tanks in the van save lads coming back to unit to fill up

until i have money to invest i will stick with what i have, roughly 345 customers mostly monthly
my wife has now qualified as a child minder and that will hopefully start in April if her income goes up as planned i will sell about 30 customers and aim to do 4 days a week invest in a gutter vac albeit a diy kit a few more on Standing orders.
All new potential customers the price has gone up

i think my attitude will be one of "take it or leave it"

I would expect each year to at least be a bit better than the last - I'd hope to pick up more customers (5 new ones already this month) and try and learn from any mistakes I've made previously  :)

I aim to be rid of my current job, start up my round, probably earn less but I'm fairly financially secure but I will have  loads less stress and aggravation..  Im aiming for some quality not quantity.  ;D

Im going for this year, have 2 canvassers working for me from feb.
im a few weeks behind at the moment due to weather and xmas.so im planning to do 2 solid weeks then get leafleting the areas im after and then send the canvassers out.i will also be out canvassing.
im looking for 100 new custys.after that will take someone on self employed.
Also i do large lot of work for the council very well paid but do a few blocks here and there.I have quoted them for 2 monthly cleans ans supposed to be getting it but no news yet.
I think this will be my biggest year yet.
Takings off all first cleans till march 7th 2014
October  total=  cleaned  extra per month
November = cleaned extra per month
Total £  so far.

to make £3000 more(minimum) than last year.this is my goal every year and has worked over the last 3 years.

up some prices of existing work.

price higher for new work

push the add ons a bit more in the spring and summer months.

do a bit of canvassing and leafleting which a rarely do to beef up areas where i have a few customers.

regards
