''From memory it's approx 60g (we don't make it).''

If correct that's half the weight again of the new AD. Any way of getting that lighter?

I'm not really the person to ask :-\

We used to use a shorter end screw, but the longer shaft does have the benefit of spreading the load further down the pole.

The Phoenix ones are about 35g I think, but they have a different diameter shaft, so aren't interchangeable.

Hi Ben,

Yes, you would need an End Screw.  The one we supply if you select "Gardiner QR Clamp (for CL-X or SL-X)" next to "Pole Adapter" is http://www.aqua-dapter.co.uk/accessories/quick-release-pole-adapter-end-screw/ which has a longer shaft to spread load further down the pole.  From memory it's approx 60g (we don't make it).

thanks, i won't buy the new aqua dapter, too heavy with the pole adapter end!

Hi Enrique,

Everyone makes their own choice of course.  If the small number who had some issues a while ago puts you off, I'm sorry.

The latest springs last much longer.  We replace any that do break ones under the warranty and spares don't cost much, and can be fitted on the job if necessary.

If the product is kept clean, without any lubricant being put in, which actually causes problems, then they don't jam.

We give a 12 month warranty and the price also includes 8m of our orange hose, which is really popular.  We also offer a 28 day money back satisfaction guarantee.

Thanks I may order one was put off by weight before but now have a light brush, can you seperate the pole from the hose, as I would be using the hose on a reel so would need to pack the pole away and disconnect it

I'm not sure I understand the question, most people would have a connector from the hose on the reel to their pole hose, Something like a Rectus 21 or our Quick Connects.

If using the pole hose on a reel, you could just use a push-fit connector at the end of the hose when at collapsed length, and allow it to go inside the pole when working.  Then I'd probably recommend our Push-Fit Straight Connector Stop Valve.

Hope this helps.  Feel free to email me sales@aqua-dapter.co.uk if you have any other questions.
