had trackers fitted and to estimate fuel cost i have to put in a cost of diesel per mile i have a combo and a vivarovivaros a bit heavier on fuel as it needs a service and does guzzle a bit

If you're calculating via brim to brim then make sure that you check the accuracy of the Odometer.My car is out by 5% (fast) so for every 500 miles actually travelled it tells me we've been 525 !Speedometer is fast by nearly 10% - so we haven't been as far or as fast as the data suggests.
Miles per gallon is irrelevant, as we buy fuel by the liter, best way to look at it is miles per liter or better still, how many miles per £1.00 spent.
