Warning e BAY GAS WATER HEATERS
« on: January 08, 2013, 05:57:55 pm »

To anyone considering buy a gas water heater of e bay be warned the seller of the ones below will not honor his product warranty and supplies faulty unit which could be risky. He also sells then as delivered from a London address which does not exist. They will come from china where you will have to send them for repairs at you own expense. When you try contact them they will just not answer your e mail. To try to avoid me he has tried to dodge me and increased the price by 100 quid so he does not want bad bad reports. Thanks you.Smithie

Shame that it has to go that way. Take a while before you get result! Did you pay via PayPal? If so is there anything they could do if with invaluable certain time scale. Think 72 days

theres nothing that paypal will do,

i have the 8l heater,, it works and all that but is very poor quality and it doesnt smells right when its on, i was worried that it could be pumping out dangerous fumes, set my van on fire or explode.

yes it is that badly made, i think the ce certificate is probably faked or they are counterfit heaters either way i have taken it out of my van and wont be using it again.

Two completely different heaters there, the first one is a 12l per min LPG heater and the second one is an 8l per min natural gas heater. Which one do you have?
I can remember when waking up stiff in the morning was a good thing.

If he has problems with one of them from that seller with the warranty then it could be the same for the other, plus being the same make they could both be cheaply made.
It's just a warning really.

They are all built cheaply in China - even the fogwash. Mine's been fine for the past year.

I will get my money back I will claw it back.As I paid on Credit card. Its a matter of time to make a case. The problem I have is they say its supplied from London but in fact its supplied from china. So they want me to send it back to china at my cost. I will not as they advertised it in a London address fraudulently. That is why he has removed that advert off e bay.But when I double click on my paypal deal its still says London supply.

It looks like I will be getting my money back and keep the faulty heater. I tried to order parts for my older bust heater and was told they cannot supply as the part does not comply with the U K  standards and yet its in these heaters. These Chinese are poo scared of bad trading reference. I have used this card to the full. The game is not over yet as I want the part for my bust heater as well then I will remove the bad report.l |It  has helped having a understanding of internet buy law which studied up in the last few days. I recon I cannot go to China for a holiday, they will have a knackers for garters. They just messed with the wrong windy. I will keep you up to date. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
