And while we are at it what about engine oil from van on tarmac,,,any ideas??
Any biological washing machine powder…use dry on a wet stain . Make into a thick paste for a dry stain..keep applying till it goes. Remember Tarmac is oil based..so keep an eye on the washing powder for softening the Tarmac. The enzymes in it "eat" the stain.

J I wouldnt take it to heart mate, it's the same as every section, if you ask on the CC sections how to use Sod Met you'll get told to do training and it's too dangerous etc.
Same on windows, same on hard floors.

Hypo isn't something to be messed around with hence the replies, and something people have put time and effort into researching the best and safest ways to use it.

I think the question has started to pop up over and over again and becomes tiring for some.

However it isn't rocket science and general precautions and sensibility will see you ok, but research first.

You won't need it for a moss covered wall, it's not necessary, it's also called Sodium Hypochlorite.

Rob, you're shying out on the walking, think your legs have gone ;)

Chris, I gathered that but the roof is nackered, hence my question, does it not cause further damage, especially if walked up on?

Yep ..walking roofs you will always damage some tiles. I  price for replacing some…sometimes the moss "hides" broken  and cracked ones. That roof is Knackered.

Cold weather my ar*e.

You're getting old.

We're cleaning a big building and all of todays work & tomorrows was and will be done from the ground, bullnose, cladding, windows, fins and a metal walkway @ about 15 metres.

T shirt all day long ;)

What do you use to access and work from in a roof like that? There's no scaffold visible, so a cherry picker?

Just don't use it on anything aluminium…window frames, conservatorys. Make sure the back pack and poles are thoroughly washed.
