This was the busy front entrance of Croydon University Hospital. All day we had ambulances, taxis, cars, people, people, people - everywhere.

Still managed to get it done!

Clean to blue canopy
Pressure wash algae from top glass
Pressure wash underside of canopy
Clean glass and then breakdown cordoned off areas

On the next day we had a side entrance canopy to clean, same set up but no access for the Niftylift so it was done from the ground.

When we finished I got a call to look at the Sainsbury's just down the road in Streatham - starting a roof clean tomorrow (Sunday), had to go and look at a Tesco job elsewhere, phone call to price a Sainsbury's further North and a fella from Essex rang me to do some gully vacuuming - turned that one down.

Looks like a good job! I would not have the bottle to attempt anyrthing as big as that ..you are obviously braver  than me.
I would like to see the risk assessment for that. Was that 20 page one you were doing. I think the paper work would finish me off if the job didn't!  :)

Bit of G101 Lee. Proper crusted on the algae. Mega delicate area, had a lot of the big brass at the hospital watching. In the pictures it looks quiet but at times the cars pulling up were three wide and all the way back down to the main road.

I spent all day trying to tell people why they couldn't use a closed and signed entrance, we had arrows and everything but people want to go the way they have always gone.

All done - everyone happy and onto the next job!

Just my take on the pictures...please do not take offence .

I would of thought health and safety would of called for more than a cone and a bit of tape.
Working at height with a machine using a strong alkaline/caustic solution  that could cause burns to anybody walking below.
The machine is overeaching the taped area into public domain and the banks man is not paying attention as he is on the phone/camera taking pictures.
As i say please dont take offence .I dont do big jobs it's just what i see. I am fairly new to this type of work and am always trying to improve the way i work so i am fairly critical. ???

Chris

Where are the people walking below?
The risk assessment was passed by the head of facilities!
Where is the machine over the barrier - you would have needed to be about nine foot tall to hit the picker!
I take my work very serious and at no time whilst I recorded the work did I put the operator, pedestrian or any other party in any danger.

You seem to have a real issue with me - I don't want an apology I don't want snidey comments. I am showing some work on a thread that has been created so that people can see the works.

I'll tell you what I see when I read your posts shall I.

I see someone who does a heck of a lot of talking, most of it is complete b**locks, you tell people to not use a turbo nozzle on block, everyone else says something different but you're right!

You want to save £150.00 on building your own machine - earn another £150.00 and you don't need to try and build your own.

You've got a website with a picture on it of a chap using a blue domestic FSC - what's that about, another picture of pressure washing in trainers, walking on a roof with no safe system in place, pictures of decking and lots of other things that aren't even your work - when you get your house in order and have something to look at, maybe then you can try and pull my works to pieces.

I get the work with the NHS, Tesco, Sainsbury's, Asda, Morrisons, the Olympic park and others because I don't compromise, because I do the work properly and because I present individual risk assessments.

I never do anything to cause anyone concern and can be relied on to get the work done.

I have tried to stay away from your laughable need to comment on just about everything posted and the often just plain incorrect replies but I will be leaving this post up.

I don't wish you any ill but give it a rest.

I will continue to develop my business and keep taking on works from household names - you carry on trying to be a smart idiot and knowing everything.

Your nature may have a lot to do with where you are at in your business.

I am confident that you will have something to say about this. I wish I could say how many people from the forum have rung me to tell me how much of an idiot they see you as.

I have nothing to say Rob . You like myself are entitled to your opinion.
I have no work on so i am spending a lot of time...too much time on the internet  ;D
You are out working on some impressive jobs while myself i am hanging out on forums..that in it's self must say something about your business acumen.
Do people really think i am a "t*t"?

Chris - you should be rhino man as your skin is so thick. Are you trying to stir people that are genuinely here to help ? Maybe the rant is very well placed and mentioned some things others think

BDCS.
Look at the second  Robs hospital picture down...tell me what you see.
BDCS  Do you advocate tel use of a turbo nozzle to clean a whole drive by somebody who is just starting out in the job...i do not.
BDCS Caustic or non caustic for cleaning plastic coated/ poss aluminium cladding (not aimed at you Rob but discussed in a previous post somewhere).
I really dont care about what others think. I am willing listen and learn from professionals. I actually think  you are ( one of the few) that know what you are talking about and i am always interested in your posts
Roger seems to have the wood restoration down to "t" this i would be very interested in..but his are "trade" secrets which he has took a long time to develop. Why should he share these skillis with me?
Rob i see as the "big clean up man!"tesco, hospitals etc..from him i could learn about setting the jobs up,organising working teams, health and safety, dealing with big organisations...i could learn a lot from him. But he takes my amateure observations /questions to heart...i really just say what i see or think and i am willing to be corrected, thats how i learn.
This week i have learnt that i annoy most of you and you think i am a tit.... I will try and keep my posts to minimum

The little contact I have had with Chris was positive.
I was asking about roof algaecide and Chris gave me enough to cover a roof or two free of charge. He didn't even want anything for postage.
I thought this was very good of him.

I do think its probably best not to question another guys work 'photo' on a forum, as rightly so the original poster will become defensive.
I have also spoken to Chris, he has supplied me with various contact numbers which have been usefull, the guys I have spoken to have nothing but praise for him.. apart from the fact he is northern  ;D ;D
