Does any body know if a cimex r48 can be used for sanding a wooden floor?

and if so where i can get the sanding disks or would you think that sand paper would sit on the pads ?

I have disks that will fit it however you ideally Ned the HD version for this with its dust extraction and weight kit.

If its a pretty flat engineered wood it will be okay fitted with ceramic disks. However if its more traditional planks and has any cupping or lippage it won't work well.

You need a belt sander first then the cimex as a finisher.

I have a US spec weight kit for the Cr38/48 but have never ran it on a standard cimex for this type of task. Only heavy scrubbing with tynex brushes.

 the wood it selfis in a restraunt area, very old and in a distressed state, which the custy wants to keep the look, so no real redemial or restoration required apart from some cleaning and sealing.

I was just thinking along the lines ofa light sanding so a good key for any finish i apply.

Do you have tynex brushes?
They will work well to give the key you need.
Once it's completely dry apply oil or polyurethane depending on what has been used previously.
Don't get that bit wrong! Same on same only.
