Lee , so you are saying that the brush at these times should be with the stock ends at the 12 and 6 o clock positions , and doing it left to right that way ?

Yes  That is how I clean some awkward windows, I find that there is better contact with the glass that way.

what brush do you use with the resi neck?i tried it for a few days with a soft sill brush and didnt get on with it.the swivel did my head right in!!

maybe ill try it again with an extreme brush?

I don't get on using it with a sill brush, it's brilliant with an extreme, but also works well with a super lite.

The only problem I have with the swivel is that it wears at the point it swivels and eventually breaks. I have gone through about 6 in the last year.

How on earth have you used 6. Mine must be a year old now, I have to nip the screw every now and then but that's it.

Are you using Gardiner "resi-neck" swivels or the old little plastic ball thingys?

I've been using the same resi-neck swivel every day for over a year & it's hardly even worn let alone about to break!

I think the Gardiners one is pretty much unbreakable!
I have worn one to the point of using all the screw thread adjusting it, that's every day since they came out.
Superb design, last forever and cheap as chips. The only possible improvement would be a lock to stop the swivel if required but for £9 it's easier to just swap the neck over.

Lee GLS  , tried it all chief , 45 , 90 , just chucked it in the shed for use at a later date , have my eye on using it with my CLX 27 for a trad job thats ongoing , might make my life a bit easier !
It will need a bit of a tweek for trad tools though !!!
