 dont feel too cold either.looks like im going to have to work like a dog till xmas.

The "Flaming Hot" type ones on ebay for £98 will do the job - if you work one day where you would have been frozen off, then its paid for itself!

True,.. but by being a bit flexible with your round (eg doing houses where there are flowerbeds below windows when its sub zero) etc you'll be able to keep working easy enough on all but the coldest days.

Been doing the doors the "old" way today after yesterday with doorsteps converted to ice block death traps. Can't afford to get sued

-2 here this morning.van nice and toasty as had oil filled radiator on all night.worked until 2pm no problem with my cold system then rain and a bitter cold wind finished me off!!home and warm and dry now.

all filled up ready for tomorrows onslaught.

the key here is BE PREPARED!!bring reel and DI in overnight and get a heater in the back of van if its forecast to be below freezing.

I know you have used the L5 heaters in the past, do you know how to disable the timer on the L5.

You can't disable it unfortunately - but if you contact the USA suppliers direct, ask for John Hulbert, mention my name & you might be able to get a replacement ignition unit without the 20 min timer if they still stock them. Switching out the ignition unit is easy & only takes about 20 mins.

How cold was it mate when i started it was -1 but the ground temp will have -3 or so , I connect hose and pole as fast as possible then turn water and keep water flowing constantly even when wiping down sills i just keep a low flow so no risk of jets or hose freezing . Mike
