Does George have the same features as WCP ?
And can someone confirm the file type you use as a back up please cvs file ??

wcp will not let you back all the data like George your correct in Csv file
Wcp use can save PDF and Csv but limited data it would need to be cracked on the owner allowing access to the data

To enable mail shots, exporting to excel or msword.  Either into a letter for window envelopes or labels.

I was thinking for bulk mailing to inform customers of new services or Christmas cards.

I'd have thought it would be a relatively minor tweak, just like raising a work list omitting the other info apart from customer names and addresses or tinker with the 'print invoice' operation.

Is it worth talking with the fella that's developed George?

I'm using a cheap netbook that I've dedicated to the task of running George. I backup every night to my main system so I constantly have 3 copies of my data.

I would definitely be willing to get involved / chip in (within reason) for an Android App. I would need it to be fully functional without an internet connection though.

• 1. I work in the sticks with no signal a lot
• 2. I have trust issues with sharing all my customer data with anyone over the internet

Do you/we already know; how we want the software to behave, What we want the UI to look like?

Bespoke software development is very competitive market but I would have thought talking to an existing developer, like Paul Sanders, about the possibility to adapt existing software to the Android platform would be a logical first step. Maybe try to involve him in a discussion about it on these forums so more can have an input. He charges £50 for GEORGE for life! Maybe he's already doing something?

just finished sorting out isues with the developer and its looking like CSV import isnot a issue.He will build in a function to go through it and add to the app
looking at about 3 weeks before bug test so on.
We have agreed to build the main app first on given price then do upgrades
sending work sheets to employees can be done on a upgrade
txt was/is part of this build
I now need layouts of screens leeding to worksheets etc...
