I have these bought from Brix.

Can't fault either and I use mine for pressure washing too.

Don't buy Brashers either. Although waterproof I can hardly stand up in mine on damp stone.

Do you buy them new, or second hand, if second hand what is the quality like. Have to say I like the idea of them being already "broken in" ;D
I can remember when waking up stiff in the morning was a good thing.

I bought British army Gore tex boots from e-bay a few years. absolutely fantastic. They were brand new and only £35 delivered via e-bay. Best boots I ever bought. As i said they were brand new and were comfortable from day 1, They didn't need breaking in at all.

I went against my own advice this week, I have always said buy the best boots you can afford and they will look after you.
This week however I had a new commercial job planned and my boots were falling apart so went to our local outlet and picked up a pair from mountain warehouse.
At £34 I figured they were a bargain.  How wrong was I.
Buy the end of the day my feet were soaked, not from the outside but inside. Jeez my feet have never been so hot, so much for "our own brand of gore-tex"
I will be ordering some Berghaus ones asap.

These were my favourites for years, really comfy and light. last couple of pairs didn't last that long so I've paid double for Brashers.

I wear these: http://tinyurl.com/9dkdhzr

I like them because they are comfortable, warm, waterproof, have a steel toecap and, most importantly, because they have a steel midsole. After an incident when a nail in a plank in someone's back garden pierced my trainer and touched but didn't break my skin, they are the only ones for me. Two years old and no sign of wear on them at all.

I always use these guys - the pair of gortex boots I've got now were about £25 and I've had them about 18mths now  :)

Those are some serious boots and a serious price to go with em.  Although they will come in handy when the Stasi/SPG take over the country and we become a police state  ;D
