First time replacing hose fittings help
« on: October 17, 2012, 07:12:42 pm »
I use a 6mm hose reel hose and The aquadapter pole hose (8mm outside diameter, 5.5mm inside diameter)

I want to buy an EZ-Snap Hose Valve with End-Stop (From gardiners... http://www.gardinerpolesystems.co.uk/acatalog/ez-snap-hose-valve-end-stop.html) To fit on the hose reel hose and a EZ-Snap Male Tail (Also from gardiners... http://www.gardinerpolesystems.co.uk/acatalog/ez-snapmale-tail.html) For the pole hole. can you advise on the sizes i need to purchase please?

The options are: for the EZ-Snap Male Tail. 6mm, 8mm, 10mm.

The options for the EZ-Snap Hose Valve with End-Stop are: 5mm. 6mm. 8mm.

I cant believe this is so complicated to be honest lol!

Many Thanks

George

Hi GB
I ordered Minibore 8mm hose and fittings but they (Gardiners) sent Microbore hose 6mm.
However I had a leaking female EZsnap fitting so today I fitted an 8mm fitting onto the 6mm hose!
Just dip the end of the hose in hot water and ease on.
If you have a local pneumatics supplier you may want to try them - the Rectus 21 / 26 fitting are standard air line fittings and you can go in and show them what you need.

If fitting a Hose Valve to the 6mm ID hose reel then you will need the 6mm option.
To fit the EZ-Snap Male tail to the pole hose you will also need the 6mm option.

they are a high pressure fitting made to cope with fluids, plus they aren't too expensive
