Simon

that is what I would like to know Simon..

After all I only use LM or encap methods, and I use solutions stuff as I have not been shown/given to try anything else that may do the job better..

I'm not a carpet cleaner but thinking of getting into it and thought I'd give LM a go as it appears to be a good way to dip my toe in...

Therefore I bought some last week from Restoramte at £28.50 for 4 litres. Can buy direct from dynamall.co.uk Tried it at home over the weekend using an oreck orbiter and a microfibre bonnet which was presoaked in water and rung out. I used it on two carpets, it brought the colours out brilliantly and took out most of the stains on the first hit, after a few trials I made a point of presoaking any stains and going over a couple of times.. they all vanished!! saying that, the carpets weren't massively dirty to start with but the solution made a huge difference anyway!!! If anything the colours looked richer and brighter if that makes sense.

Would anyway say that using a CRB system would be any better as this would raise the pile of the carpet???

I mixed according to dynamall 's recommendations of 1x10 however later maintenance is recommended at 1x15... Smells good too but not overpowering. And of course carpets got dry within minutes... Still experimenting meanwhile...

Rb, I find microfibre pads too absorbant for encap, better to use a brush, or better yet a pad with 'agitation strips' built in.

my pad have these blue strips of stiffer bristles, is that what you mean? I though of the little brushes you can get for the Oreck as a way to spread the solution and maybe lift the fibres, would that work?
