Hi
Some times if the rug has a jute or hessian backing it can stain the carpet underneath not fading or uv damage I think it is the gases that the rug produces over time I read it some where can't remember where

Tbh the photo on my iPad doesn't look the best but I was talking to another cleaner today and he said that most would have said that it was a poly fibre and was an easy fix the way dave worded it was that it was a permanent hence me looking from a different angle ie wool mix.

Had a 100% poly loop cream carpet with brown fleck yesterday. On heavy wear area around the bed the brown fleck was a lot more dominant from wear and made those areas look browner and soiled.
