Since I've started WFP with a backpack my one knee has started giving me grief. It feels sore like its burning and when I've finished work at home it feels weak when I walk on it; its hard to explain but I am starting to worry that if I carry on its just going to get worse. I had an accident working on site 7 years ago (approx) and I had to have fluid drained from my knee. Its never felt the same 

Anyway im trying to get sympathy, I want to know how I can make my load lighter and how expensive a van mount will cost (approx) as I think its when I have been lifting the barrels of water it hurts that night. Also what parts do you need for a van mount?

At the moment I have a 300gpd RO with pump + 11 litre di and use CLX 27 + 18 litre backpack
I trad ground floor windows.

Also anyone know if a knee support belt would help?

No I don't im limited to space as Im working out of a VW Touran at the moment; I have the backpack in the footwell of rear passenger (behind drivers seat)

are you sure that its your knee my mate gets terrible knee pain but it all comes from the sciatic nerve ,i would think a van mounted system would take the presure off your knee/back,my van mount cost about £600,but i make my water with a static at home

With respect, even spending 3 or more grand on decent van mount, what price screwing up your body?
I speak from experience, humping barrels.....waste of time,will cause injury over time,and makes the job bloody hard work.

Not sure think I will go to docs though.... What items do I need for a van system? I will probably make the pure in my house still just buy a longer hose and have it fill the tank in van overnight.

You can buy small foldaway trolleys quite cheaply.  But agree with the other guys; van mounts rock.  There's no heavy lifting involved at all.

Re occurring shoulder problem, caused by pinched nerve in my neck.C5/C6
So, I try buy best gear for job, slx etc,
Also, using the trolley, I twice did lower back...
Van mount and slx...
Best thing I did.

At the very least get a clc18 with aquadaPter. The 27 are heavy beasts even when closed.
