Er......  ???

Sorry mate, I don't understand the question. What do you mean by 'obscure glass'?
Just chant..... Hare Krsna, Hare Krsna, Krsna Krsna, Hare Hare, Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare. It's beats chanting Tory Tory or Labour Labour.

I don't think it's got anything to do with your area or w/c's refusing to clean them.

I think it has more to do with can't be bothered and thinking that as the glass is frosted, the customer either won't notice or it'll make no difference.

It's the same all over and I've heard the same loads of times from customers as well - not about me, but about previous window cleaners.

Yup, if it's glass and in a window frame of some sorts, clean it regardless. You can't go wrong doing that.

Leave it thinking no one will notice and the customer just might dump you.

It could be that this type can be rippled and the squeegee will not give a perfect clean without buffing the glass after and it will be extra work. This attitude can be passed down by one window cleaner to the next .

Oddly enough it was this that started me out with the idea of window cleaning.

Many years ago I was off work ill.  I was lying in the bath when I heard the window cleaner arrive.  Lo and behold, he didn't touch the bathroom window.  Thinking he'd possibly made a mistake, I opened it and ran my finger along the outside.  It was black; it'd clearly never been touched.

When he came for his cash, I mentioned it and he said that he must have made a mistake.  He popped round the back with his ladder and did it.

He was deeply offended when I told him never to come back again.

So, if you want my answer to your original question, it's sheer fraud that makes them miss frosted glass.
