Good advice Vince. Know your customer!

Some will swallow an inflated price for a first clean even if they don't look dirty in the first place, others will refuse to pay extra, even if there are trees growing out of the windows.

If I think they're going to be a long term, reliable customer I don't charge any more, unless the frames are in a bed condition.

hahaaa   i used to do that method pricing per time involved but for about the last 6 months ive been getting into the whole per unit method of pricing and im actually enjoying it this way, also i think it look more profesional  when i go round the property writing stuff down   and when the figure comes to say £13 they tend to argue less becuase it looks like a fixed price not guess work! thank mate

All very well having set prices if there are no extended properties in the area, but this is very rare in Swindon. I could do 5 houses in one street, all with different style windows and different porches and it seems to be the capital of conservatories here with it think 1 in 4 properties having one. All of these vary in size too.

a simple pound a window works fine.

if say a 4 bed detatched has an extension then its not standard so will be priced extra for the extension.

a 3 bed semi only changes price if it has those massive bay windows. if its 8 or 10 windows its the same price as those extra 2 windows take no time to clean.

my theory is partly on the house and partly on how long it takes me to clean

We have set prices and if there is anything extra like cons etc or difficult windows we charge a little more!!
