Hi all

Im looking into buying a new shape pug expert, have many of you got them??

If so any problems i should look out for??

This one im looking at tomorrow is an 07 2.0 hdi 82k with full service history and all old mots 1 owner from new the guy wants 3995 which i think sounds cheap

I've an 11 plate, it's ok , no probs as yet, suggest in hindsight get the 6 speed 2-0 litre.
If the brand new shape transit was out, defo would gone for that.
Have a look , google new shape transit, it really looks fab.
Fuel economy on this expert van is poope....
Although I do have a large truck mount in it.......

ive got a 57 reg expert from new its the 1.6 and drives really well never had any troubles

Pugs need cam belts replacing Before their 100,000 mile /10 year limit.
Just spent £930 on mine and it only slipped a couple of teeth.
Only part needed was a rocker arm £15, all rest labour!

we didnt like our one , to heavy on fuel and was like a ship when loaded , 8 months old traded it for a transit trend  much better van  all together

What year was it and what size engine cheers dale.

Check dpf filter has been replaced , and timing belt will need doing
So if not done add £1k to price to cover it.

Strange, I've got a Dispatch (basically same van) 2007 2.0 HDI and runs like a beast. Plenty of power, good cornering, and that's loaded.

second that ! mines an old style 52 plate hdi.
bought at 72,000 on clock had the cam belt slip by end of the year = £1200 damage 
Like my van though, perfect size for me with a 650 tank

just check the cam belt has been replaced or budget for it / may help haggle the price
