Just bought myself a 3300 diesel generator, would this be big enough to run my machine on ?
Thinking I will run i through my books 
Might not be able to use the heat and run, but it should be man enough for 2 x 3 stage vacs and the pump

Why would you want to?

Providing you're using the Prochem motors
i.e low powered 1200w, you should be alright
without heat. Just stage switching everything on.
Allow a few seconds for each motor to settle.

That sounds like you'd be getting the drawbacks of a TM (fuel usage) without the good points (power, heat). Back to the drawing board.

Offd to one out Norwich way next weekend, 2 rig linkup 20k system, guy running it had his van / generators and his last 10k system crushed by the rozzers a few years back, oh and a 2800 fine to boot, they come down hard out that way and even have a dedicated anti party unit , so it's like a game of cat and mouse, adds to the excitement

We did a outdoor event a few years a go, the generator was supplied for us when we got to the event.  Set everything up (15k music power) turned the volume up and as soon as the bass kicked in the generator slowed right down and the music went quieter.  We had to ask the people that booked us to go and get another generator and split the 2 between the amps.  Ideally what you need is to add up the total watts the amps are giving then add 50% (so if you have watts,  get a generator that will cope with 30k)

Yes when we put them on 10 years ago we had 2 petrol gens prob about 8kva, were running a 2 k amp and a 1k amp, only a small system, one of the reasons we didn't upset any one with noise pollution, but we used to get the decks slurring when in the mix, stuff we play was more kick drum orientated rather than the bass heavy stuff like d+b and dubstep.
Diesel has more inertia, so can cope better with power hungry amps, my amps are al pretty solid c audio xr3801 running 2x 18 and 2 x 15 subs Peavey 8.5c running turbosound mids then a zoffmusic comet running my 4 turosound impacts and some hf horns,so about 5k in ampage in total  Also have active x over, gate limiter 32 band eq, digital stuff does not like voltage spikes, so trying to run without a soundweb management system or a behringer deq2496.

Yes 1200w per side at 4r or 1500w per side at 2r, but they don't like 2r loads so will be keeping it at 4, so yeah  i x Beyma 15G40 Which is 700w rms 1400w peak and  a Precision devices 186 18 incher also 700w rms ,Ideally need something with a bit more headroom, but have spent shed loads of £££ in the last few months, drivers and professionally made cabinets are expensive.
Will be having a crack at my own cabinets soon, need some mid horns for 2 12 inch 300w rms drivers I have, speakerplans is my friend 
All the top designers on there..
May even look into actually doing hire inc me as engineer / baby sitter of the rig, once I have had a couple of runs at it, gf's son is a pro engineer, touring with m83 at the moment, he currently has Riahanna chasing him to do her sound , so he is pretty good
