Sebo BS36 help

Hi, I used my Sebo for the first time in a while and i could hear an air leak. Upon further investigation I found that its coming from behind the front carry handle, there is a small cut out in the aluminium handle. I dont think it was there before so I am thinking perhaps the handle has slipped up but it does feel secure when pulling it.
Heres a photo of the handle Im talking about, has anyone else had a similar problem?

I believe it's a relief inlet. Mine has it too.
Don't block it up.
