Cat Converter Theft

Had my van cat converter stolen, any recommendations on fitted anti theft devices. There a few on the market, anyone tried one.

grant you could run without one . get a decat pipe fitted . wont make any difference to performance etc . it'll also pass the mot without one (assuming its diesel) . diesel engines dont get an emissions test they get a smoke test. ive been told by an mot tester that they got new guidelines on this as it was a very grey area . some places passing them some failing them . for peace of mind check with your local mot station or call vosa but i know plenty of vw t4 drivers whose vans have sailed through without them . only petrol motors need them

Thanks, I checked with my local MOT service centre, says exactly what you say, now to find a local service willing to do a decat for me, it's a Boxer L1H1 2008.

its a simple straightforward job to do your self. Dont go to the expense of getting a mechanic to do it.
