Reducing van insurance -tip
«

Just running a few quotes for van insurance through go compare.
Best price for my vivaro was £380 fully comp
But if I put my school teacher wife on the policy (named driver) the best premium was only £280
It may be worth making up a spouse or partner

Wonder what it would be if I put my pole dancing girl friend on?

Apparently the logic is, if the family members knows what a good deal you got they will switch to that insurer too. So they are kind of hoping they get a referral from it.

Does anyone bend the truth on occupation?
Maybe we could be managing directors? Of a one man cleaning company, lol
Anyone know of a good angle to put on it for discount?

I'm on the insurance (Transit) as a named driver but never drive it..... and it's brings the premium down
Sometimes you have to question the logic behind the insurance companies, just like it's been held against us when some other prat has run into us, and blaime has been proven it was their fault

So what would the reduction be if you put both your wife and girlfriend on the policy or would that just be greedy

I found the same thing with my Daughter's insurance, I named both myself and the missus on the policy and then put it on a multicar policy. Saved £500
