Has anyone come accross this machine
« on: June 29, 2012, 10:49:11 pm »
I am about to buy a used Stimvak Maestro carpet extractor and was wondering if anyone has seen this machine before. it's a bargin price what the guy (not carpet cleaner) is asking - £150
It's got 2 x 2 stage Ametek vac motors, heating unit, and presumably 100psi pump. Pump is working but not shooting water out.

couldn't attach photo, but there is some at http://www.leboncoin.fr/electromenager/187072080.htm

Any comments anyone?

Cheers
Emil

Dont know it at all  ,  but nice design , looks like top mounted motors and it looks like it would stair climb and maneuver well .
Could always pop a couple of three stage vacs in to bring it up to date .

Sounds good , looks like easy access to the vacs/pump for fitting too .

used to use them 20 years ago not a bad machine and for that price your not going to get stung, the drag brush wand on that piccy is pants your better off with a wand. Remember that the vac motors used to last forever in them they reckoned it was because they where mounted sat upright and the bearings liked that, raher than being on their sides.

A 135 pump should be the same size as the one in there. I found a spec for it and it states it has 3 stage vacs- but this may be a later model than yours.
That looks like a powerbrush.

Had that set up in 1990. Mine had single 3 stage. Good robust machine which fell out of the van and lived. I liked the power brush until it gave me rsi. Sounds a good deal to me..

I've still got one but use it only on commercial
as a holding tank for my main machine, mine's
got an in tank heater so just pump from it to my
Ninja.
Got the power brush with it when I bought it but
eventually stripped solution and vac hose off it and
it makes a pretty good mechanical agitator now.
Have also got it's baby brother the Toto and am in
the process of converting it into a pre sprayer for
larger jobs, alas the pump as gone.

Hey guys, this machine seems to be quite popular  :D
Didn't think that quite a few on here would know of it.
I'm putting the whole Sunday aside for working on it. ;D
