Xtel hybrid or Super Max?
« on: June 21, 2012, 05:01:28 pm »
I have the choice :

Gardiner Super Max 40ft inc brush & gooseneck - £604 inc

or

Xtel Hybrid 35ft inc brush but only standard angle adapter neck - £435

Whats best option ?

I have used the Xtel pole before and it's a good hard wearing pole. Have also used various Gardiner poles (but never the Super Max) and found them to be good quality

Get what you pay for. Ones all carbon the other isn't. One is also a section longer.

I have an xtel hybrid 35 that I'm thinking of selling (good condition and used 2-3 times a week)
Funnily enough I'm saving and wanting to put the money towards a supermax 40  :D

good pole though and as said you get what you pay for.
Only reason wanting a supermax 40 is my clx 27 is wearing out (2 years old) and reckon its more cost effective for me to replace both in one pole, e.g. remove unwanted sections and add when needed.

Hi Steve
open to offers over £100 plus p&p if it cannot be collected (Brighton)

also got an extra add on section when needed that makes it an actual length of 40 ft which I will throw in if collected.

same quality as an SLX, so top pole. Only telescopic pole that beats it these days would be the Xtreme.
Easy to break down too so you don't need to use it at 40' if you don't want to.

i,ve got asupermax 40 and i would,nt want to use it all day , but i use just 4 sections of it nearly all the time and just add the others for the odd high window , i,ve also got the slx 22 and i much prefer to use 4 sections of the supermax even though the sections are longer , its the supermax compact , i had a clx 27 before and i reallywould urge anyone to make the step up because the difference in my opinion is immense , having said all that i,m seriously thinking about getting the extreme 25 as i seriosly think you must have the best pole available , by the way i,m 54 and only want to do this job the easiest way possible regards alan

alan, i have the extreme 25 and its the perfect pole for me.  yes its pricey but the effect it has on your shoulders and back is so much better.  its the hings you use most so should be the thing you spend the most money on
