Good evening all,

Looking to buy a new porty, budget is 3k, want to make the best out of it so I am open for suggestions.
Has to be min. 500psi, not extremely heavy, reliable, capable of running at least 75ft hose setup, auto fill/dump not necessary.
I would like to hear opinions on the different manufacturers/options, any useful info greatly appreciated

There are 2 that come to mind

Www.cleansmart.co.uk these sell the storm nice looking machine but weighs more than the jag, I have the jag easily lifted into my van but as said it isn't going to win a beauty pageant.

The trouble is you want 'not too heavy', but the 5 or 600psi pump will make it heavy. Ive had heavy machines before (when I was alot younger), but now I just use small, light weight machines from Craftex. They take longer but they do the job (with the right chems). I'm finding I'm not so tired either. I still have two big buggers but only use them on full houses and commercial jobs.

IMO you may regret getting a heavy machine.

Storm or Jag.

Work out which dealer or distributor is closest to you in case of service requirements or just in case any problem arises so you havent got far to travel with the machine.

Auto pump not required but you would be mad not to have it as standard methinks

Both the Jag and the Storm is way out of budget with hoses and wand. (My very old wand and hoses are only rated to 300psi)
It doesn't have to be lightweight, I just don't want an extremely heavy machine.
I was looking at Powr flites (1380) and the Airflex Pro 600.
If I could find a decent second hand Jag or Storm that would change the game, but I don't think I'll have such luck.

Your hoses will be fine with a higher power machine, you don't need more than 200-250 psi anyway.

42kg does not include cords ? does it even come with cords ? and it doesn't even have a heater , so not much inside to weight it down  ...   anyway the long horizontal body will never stair climb so low weight is of little use .   

People focus on the looks , personally i don't care what it looks like as long as it functions well , but the Jag is built into a 20yo recoil body with a host of well documented flaws  ,  waste tank gate position is a joke , waste level cutoff rarely works , takes too long to access the interior if u have a fault , poor switch position( easily knocked )  poor handle  , general poor exterior finish .

I often get positive comments about the Airflex's appearance from clients.

The guys that say it doesn't matter what your machine looks like are the ones using a pig-ugly machine

i've got the airflex pro 600 50ft of hose and a wand with glide ,i have used it 4 times and i am thinking of selling it as i do not think i am likely to use it again as i am well into my low moisture cleaning, i also have a brand new inline heater that i have never used. i do have a small hwe machine if i need to use it.

mines an airflex turbo triple vac not the airflex pro as stated earlier.

The body is a sandia sniper  12galllon if u look it up youtube .
Alltecs changes would include  , twin vac stacks for better airflow ,two three stage vacs and the more powerfull heater .

However ... the used airflex turbo three vac offered to you above would be good buy also , capable of longer  hose runs , heater would be external .

If the pig ugly machine was better, i would go for the pig ugly machine but it isn't, so why not have the Airflex, looks good, goes like a Storm

does it have to have 500 psi ?  never run more then 400 here (t,m) many say i am doing it wrong but i find it better for carpets running just 300-350 not a fan of big psi and when i was porty i cleaned everything at 60 -80 psi
