I actually bought the bits in March but just got round to fitting them last week and i am sorry i didnt do it earlier! Cant remember the price exactly but it was around the £150 mark.

Basically, the difference is is when you are filling/purifying your pro5 tank you produce approx 50% waste and 50% pure. With a pro6 you produce approx 10% waste and 90% pure for the same quality of water (9ppm pre DI).

Nice one, but you should be making water a lot lower than  009. My RO is nearly 4 years old on my pro 6 and i still make my water at 001 rising to 003 at the end of the fill.

Ritchy - if you just phone up ionics they will tell you exactly what you need. My water bill is currently 99 quid per month (thames) will be interested to see what it goes down to.

did you add just add another ro ? to circulate the waste ?

Sort off....I added a 'ro-bak'. Basically after the water goes through the ro it then goes through a robak. Please don't ask me what's the difference between a robak and a ro as all I know it works!

Actually, I can tell you the robak has resin and the ro has membranes. Like I said, water goes through ro as normal and instead of going straight into the tank it goes through the robak. It then goes back through the ro again. Dolt know hoe many times it goes through this cycle before it goes into tank. It'd worth giving ionics a call to find out more info.

How long are the supposed to last, because I'd guess whatever you save on water bills will be spent on Ro-Bak filters?

No, ro bak is not a Di. It lasts for 200,000 litres before it needs renewing.
