You could go in and order a family bucket, and tell them you will pay for it in four month's time.

John
Lol ;D the wife said to do this but KFC is scum!!

I have asked for the number for accounts and head office
Time and time again and don't got it.
It's £45 a month so not a massive amount at all
But add all 4 up and it's almost half me months rent !
does'nt matter the amount mate, contact them and ask for regular payment do a google search for the headoffice details, as they want regular work to be done. Not sure if KFC are independant with the cleaning contractors, but a call to headoffice will get you heard, you may not be on thier system yet, happens a lot with bigger companies, I had twigden homes owe me for near on 8 months, I now get paid monthly (always a cock up there end but get paid within a month period for the last months work. This is a pit fall of commercial work
If your not willing to learn, No one can help you, If you are determined to learn, No one can stop you ;)

Our policy on commercial is payment at time of service on presentation of invoice.  If they won't agree to that, we don't bother - they're only going to be trouble so why lumber yourself with them?

that is the way I work also...can't be hassled with continualy chasing money

Sorry Ian I don't agree with the bolded. I have plenty of commercial that pay by my terms (30 days) without problem ranging from small £40 offices to multi site £xxk per annum contracts.

I obviously respect where you are with your business but you must have passed up huge amounts of commercial work that won't agree to them terms?

Should be an easy one this Col, go see manager tell him you need paying far to long a time has elapsed. Ask what you need to do to get paid and will he sort it for you. Explain you can't/won't clean any more until you are paid. Just put the pressure right on the manager to get it sported for you, because he can.

I wouldn't expect everyone to agree with me ;D

Obviously there are many businesses making a fortune out of commercial cleaning, but it's not for me.  I may well have passed up "huge amounts" of commercial, but my take is that the time I would have spent chasing and invoicing was better spent developing reliable domestic work.  Many years ago I did a big theme pub in Canterbury - they had it weekly and were supposed to pay monthly.  I did it for three months, getting promises of 'Sorry, the accounts dept is up to its neck - they'll settle as soon as they can and pay all the outstanding ones together."  Then it closed down.  The Receivers sent me the application form for settlement of my debt, but pointed out that the big debtors would get paid first, then the smaller, then the little men like me might get something if there was any money left.

I guess the money ran out three or four stages above me.
