Still cant decide what pole i need, currently got a 18ft fibreglass pole from red hat diving. It is a tough pole but heavy. Need something longer cant make my mind up on clx and slx, is the weight difference noticeable.

How long do you want? The longer it is the more noticeable the difference. Also the flex.

It's a game of three halves!

I'd get a CLX 22, or 27'.  really good price point and very light.

if you want to upgrade to an SLX next time you can.  some people swear there's big difference but i dont feel it.

I have a 27 ft clx, had it 2 years, does the job quick and easy on 90 % of my round.
My opinion on the slx is limited because I dont have one, have tried one though and personally I dont think its worth the extra.

Not because it s'nt a good pole or lighter or more rigid but because I think a clx is good enough, does the same job afterall and an slx isn't going to earn you anymore money.

The real benefits of a full carbon pole become more apparant at 35 ft + but for run of the mill everday pole for most houses, no need, my moneys better in the bank than in the back of my van.

birdy a 22ft clx would be just right for you for most domestics.they are  fantastic budget poles.you ll never use the fibre glass pole again!i still use mine for some work(used it for a year day in/day out now a few times a week).

but if you have the money get the 22ft or 25ft SLX as its a lot more rigid and strong.really noticable  esp on awkward angle windows at full stretch.

the chances are the SLX will last longer than a clx pole so your not really spending any more money in the long run and you have a better quality rigid pole.

best wishes
