Mine drops down quite low when the tanks are full, so debating if its wise to do so?

If you google spring assisters like mark said there is a company that sells them online. Wont allow you to carry more weight but makes van look and drive loads better, I have seen a few done... Think its a french van problem....

you can buy beefier springs . also there are firms that make strong springs to order,years ago i had some made for a Ford , not so very expensive

If you have coil springs. Hoist up van and insert tennis balls between springs. Works very well.Mate.
