ive an Epson sx235 printer and on Amazon iv been buying double fill cartridges , absolute bargain


anybody know how a cartridge tells the printer its low on ink?  is there a float inside each cartridge?
 

there is a chip in the printhead which calculates use basing on amount of ink drops 'released' while printing
cheapest printing ever is to install CISS on your ink printer, even cheapest than laser ones

can you explain whats CISS and please go into detail so i can follow it.

also-if i refilled an empty cartridge,how does the machine know its full now? if i take out an empty cartridge and put it back in empty the machine knows its empty

most of the CISS cartridges are ' self reseting' what means they would reset themselves. When your machine software shows low ink all you have to do is turn it of for a while, ant put it back on . Or you can get a chip reseter off ebay, but I'm 99% sure all CISS cartridges nowadays are self reseting .

are you running off a serious lot of leaflets yourself?   i have 2 bedside drawers full of mine, i like to get about 500 put thru the doors  every week and have sortof promised myself that i will keep it up for the next year, at least to double my round

if you've got a printer make something up and print'em off yourself - thats what I did and they work a treat - mind you I have a magical formulae in my wording which gets people ringing me and begging that I clean their windows 

How can you print off 20,000 leaflets on your printer? That would be the minimum I would suggest ordering.

When I started I printed a very simple three to an A4 sheet Window Cleaning Service, call Steve on 07xxx xxxxxx. The results were about the same as the glossy one. It's a window cleaning service, not a new Jag. It doesn't matter too much as long as it is clear and with a phone number. In fact, for me at least, over glossy and over produced would just suggest over priced service.

or it says quality service not another low life chancing his arm, it really depends on the clients you target and the way you look at it..

I used to print my own and did ok from them but in the end it was taking so long to print them and cut them it was cheaper for me to have them printed.

I use stressfreeprinting. They charge around £150 for 20000 A6 full colour gloss leaflets including delivery.

A few things to bear in mind when thinking about leafleting;

Make up about a thousand of your own (using your home printer) and deliver them yourself to see how many replies you get. On average I now get 6 new jobs per 1000 leaflets delivered, having tested a couple of different designs. If your happy with the results then get a professional printer to print you up a batch. The larger the quantity you order, the cheaper each leaflet will be prorata.

Keep you ad simple, and check for spelling mistakes.

Now for the best bit - how to get your leaflets printed and delivered for FREE;

Loads of people use leaflets to advertise their businesses - Estate agents, take-aways, tradesman etc and they are always looking for reliable distributors. Most will generally pay around £40 per 1000 leaflets delivered.

I contact local businesses and tell them about my WC business and ask them if they would like to share the distribution alongside my leaflets. When I have 2 other businesses interested in this service, I then hire a couple of leafleters who I pay £60/ 1000 to deliver all 3 leaflets. I also give the distributors an extra £5 for each new sign-up (as an extra incentive)

Therefore the 2 businesses pay me £80 (2x£40). The £20 extra leftover pays for my printing costs.

There's another thread here-cards or leaflets, I used to canvass and leaflet and now I canvass and card and I seem to get better results,I took 4 new jobs in last couple of weeks as a result of cards that I had dropped 6 weeks ago, my reckoning is leaflets get binned quicker where by if someone was toying with the idea of a clean would a wallet size card go in the wallet or purse till another day,,? I really do think leaflets get binned quicker-your thoughts please gents.....?
